To achieve its objectives and reduce investment risk the Centre draws on the broad experience, specialist expertise and wide networks of its board members in management, technology, energy, engineering and business development.

John Marshall - Chairman

Currently an adviser to PricewaterhouseCoopers on utilities and the energy industry, Board Member Sustainable Melbourne, Board Member of Odyssey House and the Melbourne Cancerians. Previously CEO of electricity companies CitiPower and Solaris Power, Regional Chief Executive for Europe, Middle East and Africa ICI Polyurethanes based in Brussels. Also a previous Director of the Electricity Supply Association of Australia and Board Member Sustainable Energy Authority Victoria. John holds a B.Sc and M.Sc from London and Bradford Universities respectively.

Ray Wood - Director

Ray is a specialist in bringing new technologies to market. He holds a B.Sc(Tech) Electronic Engineering, is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Company Directors. Ray is a director of Cell Therapies Pty Ltd and Irendos Pty Ltd.

Roy Adair - Director

Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants and has 15 years experience as a director of international companies. Previously COO of Pacific Hydro, MD of Powergen Australia and Chief Executive of Yallourn Energy. Roy holds a BA Hons. (Econ) and Master of Philosophy.

Alan Kendrick - Director

Alan has extensive experience in Private Equity investment. He was previously Director, DB Capital Partners (a funds management division within Deutsche Bank in Australia) and Principal of a consultancy providing development and management advice to growth companies. Other roles include Director, Investment Services Division of AIDC Ltd and the Development Finance Corporation of New Zealand.

Alan holds a commerce degree from Victoria University (NZ).

Joseph Younane - Director

Joe has 25+ years experience in general management, product development and marketing within multinational and start-up businesses. Currently a Director of Redfern Photonics - the commercialisation arm of the Australian Photonics CRC, Principal of Technology Venture Resources and Member - Advisory Board of the Victorian Photonics Network. Joe holds a B.Sc., B.E. (Elec.) and MBA.
